Is AMOMI’s Laser Hair Removal Permanent?
Laser Hair Removal can permanently disable the hair you have in an active growth cycle on the day of your treatment. Continued treatments address most growth cycles, producing hair removal in most skin types. We do not recommend Laser Hair Removal for women who are pregnant, in menopause, or are using certain medications that can trigger a dormant follicle to grow in. Dormant follicles are not active and therefore not able to be treated.

Can tanned skin be treated?
Tanned skin can be treated safely, but always inform us if you have been tanning or exposed to the sun within the last three weeks and we will adjust your treatment regime accordingly to give you the safest most effective experience.

AMOMI treats skin types (colors) I (fair skin) thorugh IV (olive and darker toned complexions). We use the Sciton Profile laser which is safe for all skin types. An individual consultation is necessary to determine your individual skin type and whether Laser Hair Removal is recommended.
How long does the treatment take?
A treatment normally takes between 15 and 45 minutes, although time varies depending upon the area being treated.
How soon will I see results?
The hair that was treated will begin to work its way out of the follicle and will start to fall out between 10-14 days after the treatment.
Are there any potential side effects?
Side effects may include slight redness (most guests return to natural color within 20 -30 minutes). Pigmentary changes of the skin, blisters and hot spots are rare but occasionally occur.
